Avery snags herself a man
January 13, 2009Maybe she doesn’t realize that the ratio of boys vs girls being born right now is largely in her favor. Either way, Avery has been making some serious advances towards Steve and Jenn’s little one.
The romance began when he had some newborn jaundice and she visited him in the hospital.
Neither of them really woke up during that visit, so things got moving when the ice storm deprived him and his family of power for a couple days and they came over. We got the munchkins together and they started playing footsies in front of the fireplace. Aaaaw.
Then they bonded at a very romantic Christmas party and sat on Santa’s lap together.
As you’ll see, she made things official at last week’s small group when she tried to hold his hand (I think he would have reciprocated, but since he is still significantly younger than her, I’m not sure he has that kind of motor control…you could see it in his eyes though, he wanted to hold hers too!)
Last night she sent mixed signals. He’s making huge progress locking eyes with her lately, being much more aware and alert, and her response? She leaned in for a kiss, then she tried to smack him. Either she’s not sure how she feels about him, or she’s trying to prepare him early for a relationship with a very fickle woman…whether it’s her or any other woman in the universe.
I can’t get over how beautiful Avery is! You guys are so blessed, enjoy it, it flies by way too fast!
Drew is definitely smitten. How could he resist? Avery is such a doll! I can’t wait to see them giggle and play together in the years to come.
